Adolescent
Services
Adolescent assessments
involve much more than determining the last time an adolescent drank
or how much marijuana was used... LCADA recognizes that the success
of an individual's treatment depends upon an understanding of the
emotional, behavioral, environmental, and family context in which
that use took place.
Therefore LCADA's
assessment process involves:
-
Clinical interviews with both the adolescent and the parent
-
Client and parental questionnaires and checklists
-
Diagnostic testing
-
Urine drug testing as needed
Alcohol/Drug Education

as high risk for substance abuse and/or who require a minimal degree
of intervention.
Outpatient Program
Designed for adolescents with a history of substance abuse.
Intensive Outpatient
Program
Designed to address the needs
of adolescents who are chemically dependent and/or who have significant
emotional, behavioral, social, or family problems in addition to their
chemical abuse.
AfterCare Program
Actual length of stay depends upon
client progress and need. The program assists adolescents in maintaining
their newly established abstinence, to begin rebuilding family communications
and trust, to develop relapse prevention skills, and to identify additional
community/family support networks.
